SHORT BIO
Jamie Arentzen was born in Guilford, Connecticut, on November 22 1970. He described himself as a spazzy child, but who got
told so many times to sit down and shut up (that and the repetitive use of...) that he's now more on the quiet side.
I have no idea where he went to school and how many bands he played in, but he eventually joined the Q Division Boston band
Sky Heroes (whose lineup included at times current AHF bandmates Stacy Jones, Drew Parsons and Brian Nolan). He worked several
catering jobs at the same time and eventually got asked to join Stacy's band which was at the time known as BMX Girl (Stacy's
AOL screenname) and which basically consisted of 4 drunk guys playing Kiss covers in the Letters to Cleo rehearsal space.
While Stacy was in Maui playing on Nina Gordon's solo record, he called in the guys and Bob Rock recorded their album which
was released in the beginning of the year 2001 after a name change to American Hi-Fi.
